Located in the heart of the Art Deco District,
The Wolfsonian exhibits an astounding collection of modern objects—both
the rare and the overlooked—from the 1885 to 1945 era, demonstrating
the active role design plays in motivating actions, expressing ideas,
creating desires, and shaping identities. Free gallery admission
each Friday from 6-9 p.m.
The on-site Dynamo Museum Shop and Dynamo Food Factory & Café offers a selection of carefully selected, unconventional gifts, books, and films, much of it inspired by The Wolfsonian's collection. The Wolfsonian's café, newly named The Dynamo Food Factory & Café, offers a creative and varied menu featuring "cakes" both savory and sweet, with enough options to suit a wide range of palates and preferences, including vegetarian. Each of the savory cakes—from the spinach and feta to the crab cake to the lasagna—is served with a side of organic mixed greens. Other menu items include a daily soup, sandwiches, and cupcakes.
